“Howard decided it wouldn’t be any harder to design a bra than it would be to design an airplane. He tried. I found it uncomfortable and ridiculous. Obviously he wanted today’s seamless bra, which didn’t exist then. It was a good idea-as usual he was ahead of his time-but I wasn’t doing 103 takes on this subject. I put on my own bra, covered the seams with tissue, pulled the straps over to the side, put on my blouse and started out.Everybody behind the camera stared, and then Howard nodded okay and filming proceeded.
